May Crowning

May Crowning is a traditional Roman Catholic ritual that occurs during the month of May of every year. We celebrate May crowning on the first Friday of May with a special liturgy. The students are invited to bring flowers for the liturgy, which is lead by the 8th Grade class. An image or likeness of the Blessed Virgin Mary is ceremonially crowned to signify her as Queen of Heaven and the Mother of God.
