The primary focus of St. Mary's Music Program is to praise God through our voices and instruments lifted in song whether in Mass or at special musical programs.
Music courses are offered twice a week to students in all grade levels. The goal of the program is to teach all children how to interpret music.
Pre-K through 2nd grade students follow a series of worksheets and fun activities designed to introduce music theory fundamentals.
3rd grade students learn to play the recorder
NEW THIS YEAR! 3rd grade students may participate in Beginner Bell Choir!
7th Grade students participate in Choir as an elective.
3rd through 8th grade students play handbells.
Beginner Bell Choir (Typically 3rd and 4th grade)
Bell choir for those new to handbells and interested in learning the fundamentals.
Advanced Bell Choir (Typically 5th grade and up)
Bell choir for those with handbell experience and driven to progress their skills in more complex musical pieces and performances.
9th through 12th grade students may participate in High School / Upper School Bell Choir.
All students are taught fundamentals of music, praise and vocal talent.
