St. Mary's Catholic School PK3 and PK4 Early Childhood Program
Early childhood education is your child's introduction to formal education, and a time when a child's natural curiousity and wonder are continually cultivated to set a foundation for learning. Our focus in our PK3 and PK4 Programs is on developing the whole child -- intellectually, socially, emotionally, physically, and spiritually.
At St. Mary's, our pre-kindergarten program integrates social, personal, and emotional development, oral language development and movement, math, science, social studies, art, music, and religion. Our center-based curriuculum enhances a student's early educational development in a developmentally appropriate environment.
In our St. Mary's PK program your children will learn about who God is and how much He loves his children through Bible stories and study of God's creation. They will learn about virtuous living through Aesop's Fables, Grimm's Fairy Tales and great children's literature. They will learn the ABC's and the rhythm of language in nursery rhymes and songs, and will learn to make friends by sharing and playing together.
Your children will engage in activities to include listening and following directions, reading stories, writing simple words, learning to write their first and last name, counting up to 20, talking about plants and animals, learning about Jesus during Catechesis of the Good Shepherd, learning about shapes, coloring, painting, cutting paper, and playing, running, jumping and dancing. All this, and your students receive daily PE/Movement classes, and weekly Library, Music, Art, and introduction to Latin!
Come and see how St. Mary's can help grow passionate little learners who are ready to bloom in Kindergarten!
