Ram Family is St. Mary’s Parent Organization. Our organization complements the efforts of the school in striving towards the goal of educating the next generation to live and uphold the Gospel teachings of Jesus Christ. Ram Family works to support the families and staff of St. Mary’s through community building events and fundraisers.
Ram Family Volunteer Opportunities
Are you interested in getting more involved in our community? We are looking for volunteers who are excited about helping us achieve our mission of furthering God’s kingdom through faith, academics, and service.
By partnering through the different opportunities below, we grow closer to our vision of educating each child on how to live and uphold the teaching of Jesus Christ!

- What does the Ram Family do for the school?
Ram Family works with parents and faculty to organize and facilitate events both during and after school hours that serve to enrich our children's educational experiences and build a stronger community. Ram Family began in 2022 as a way to continue and grow community support for our wonderful school!
- Why should I serve in Ram Family?
1. You get to meet and work with wonderful people!
2. You stay updated and informed on what is going on at our school.
3. You can more effectively suggest change at our school.
4. Everyone has different strengths and talents and has something unique to offer our school and children!
5. Children perform better at school academically and socially when a parent is involved in their education and school life.
- Do you have to be a parent to serve in Ram Family?
No! We love grandparents, older siblings, aunts, and uncles – any extended family that loves St. Mary’s and the students who work here. We do ask that family members have a current EIM certification on file if volunteering at the school.
- Does it take a lot of time?
Yes and no--it depends on the position. Some duties can be performed from home and some require your presence at the school. Some positions are seasonal and some require some effort for most of the year. Some positions work well if you decide to do them with a friend. Explore which position would be right for you. The time you donate to actively participate in your child's school is time well spent. It shows our children that we care about what they do every day.
- What is Track It Forward?
It is the tool St. Mary’s families’ use to document and monitor service hours and commitment dollars. You can log all of our information online via the web or mobile app.

- What is an EIM (Virtus) certification?
EIM certification is a requirement in the Diocese of Austin so that adults can be equipped with the tools and knowledge to protect children in an instance of possible abuse. This is required for any parent who wishes to chaperone a field trip, attend class parties, or volunteer on campus at any time.

Other Volunteer Opportunities .
Fall Fest (Sign in/out at event)- Working at the game booths
- Working at the concession stands
- Set up and clean up
- Assisting with the auction
- Assisting with events such as the silent auction, raffle, and indoor games
- Assisting with parking
- Donating items for the auctions or other events (Turn in receipts for credit.)
- Donating money for the Fall Fest expenses (Turn in money to the office for credit and obtain receipt.)
Athletic Events
- Assisting with games such as calling lines, keeping books, keeping the time clock, and referring
Catholic Schools Week (Sign in/out at event.)
- Assisting with Book Fair
- Assisting with Parent and Grandparent luncheons
- Assisting with the Teacher Luncheons
- Assisting with the student’s Special Event
Field Days
- Assisting at Field Day (Sign in/out at event)
Program Coordinator
- Box Tops for Education
- Ink cartridge recycling
Field Trip Chaperone (Sign in/out at event)
- One trip may be counted each year.
*Meetings attended and time spent selling tickets/memberships will not be applied to service hours.
